Installation
ZS Wishlist installs directly from the Shopify App Store. No code or developer is required.
Add the app
Click Add to Shopify and approve the install on your store.
Open the dashboard
You'll land on the wishlist dashboard, where saves, top products, and recent activity appear.
Continue to setup
Follow the in-app setup guide, or use the steps below to turn on the storefront button.
Theme setup
The wishlist button lives in your theme as an app block. Turn it on from the theme editor — it works with any Shopify theme.
- From your store admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
- Open the App embeds panel and toggle on Wishlist Header Icon and Wishlist on Cards.
- On a product template, click Add block and choose Wishlist Button. Drag it near the Add to cart button.
- Click Save.
Tip: Place the heart near the Add to cart button — it's where shoppers look first, and it captures the most saves.
Wishlist page
Give shoppers a dedicated page to view everything they've saved. Create a page and add the wishlist block to it.
- Go to Online Store → Pages → Add page and title it Wishlist.
- In the theme editor, open the new page template and add the Wishlist Page block.
- In the Wishlist Header Icon settings, set the page link to
/pages/wishlist.
Shoppers can now open their wishlist from the header icon, view saved items, add them to cart, or remove them.
Customize the button
Match the wishlist button to your store from the app's Settings page. A live preview shows your changes instantly.
- Text — the label, e.g. "Add to Wishlist" or "Save for later".
- Icon — heart, star, or bookmark.
- Style — solid, outline, or text-only.
- Color — any hex value to match your brand.
- Placement — next to Add to cart, below the price, or over the product image.
Guest wishlists
Shoppers can save items without logging in. Guest wishlists are stored in the browser and tied to an anonymous token.
When a guest later logs in, their saved items merge automatically into their customer account — nothing is lost. You can turn guest wishlists off in Settings if you require login.
Guest wishlists capture shoppers who aren't ready to create an account — often the majority of mobile traffic.
Email reminders
Bring shoppers back by emailing them about the items they saved. Available on the Starter plan and above.
Reminder types
- Price drop — sent when a saved item's price decreases.
- Back in stock — sent when a saved out-of-stock item returns.
- Saved-item nudge — a gentle reminder after a set number of days.
Designing the email
Use the built-in template editor to design your reminder visually — drag blocks for headings, text, product lists, buttons, and more. Or switch to code mode for full HTML control. Use variables like {{customer.first_name}} and {{product.title}} to personalize.
Every reminder includes a one-click unsubscribe link, so you stay compliant with email regulations automatically.
Analytics & export
Understand what your shoppers love. The Analytics page shows your most-wishlisted products, daily save trends, and the split between guest and logged-in shoppers.
Export every saved item as a CSV from the Export page — useful for retargeting campaigns or your own analysis. Full analytics and export are available on the Starter plan.

Start free and upgrade when you're ready. Billing is handled securely through Shopify and appears on your regular Shopify invoice.

Does it work with my theme?
Yes. ZS Wishlist works with any Shopify theme through app blocks and app embeds — no theme code editing required.
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. The Free plan has no time limit and no hidden fees. Unlimited saves, guest and customer wishlists, and button customization are all included.
What happens to a guest's wishlist when they log in?
It merges automatically into their customer account. Items they saved as a guest carry over the moment they log in — nothing is lost.
How are reminder emails sent?
Reminders are sent automatically when a saved item drops in price or returns to stock. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and shoppers who opt out never receive another.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Change or cancel your plan anytime from the Plans page. Billing is prorated through Shopify.
