1. Introduction

Welcome to ZS Wishlist. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Shopify app. We are committed to maintaining the trust of Shopify merchants and their end-customers by being transparent about our data practices.

2. What Data We Collect

To function correctly, ZS Wishlist collects a limited set of data. We divide this into two categories:

Merchant Data Shopify store URL, Plan type, and app configuration settings.
Customer Data Customer IDs (when logged in), and a unique browser token (for guest wishlists).
Product Data Product IDs and handles saved by customers to their wishlists.
Email Addresses Collected only if the "Email Reminder" feature is enabled by the merchant.

3. How We Use the Data

The information we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Wishlist Storage: To remember which products a customer has saved.
  • Automatic Merging: To merge a guest wishlist with a customer account upon login.
  • Automated Reminders: To trigger "Price Drop" or "Back in Stock" emails.
  • Analytics: To show merchants which products are most popular (aggregated data).

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third-party advertisers. Data is only shared in the following limited circumstances:

  • Shopify: Since we are a Shopify app, we operate within their ecosystem and follow their API and data security guidelines.
  • Email Service Providers: If you use our reminder feature, email addresses are processed via secure channels to send the notifications.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law to comply with a judicial proceeding or court order.

5. User Rights & Control

We respect global privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA. You and your customers have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we have stored.
  • Deletion: Request the permanent removal of wishlist data.
  • Opt-out: Customers can unsubscribe from any automated email reminders at any time using the "Unsubscribe" link.

🔒 Data Security First

We use industry-standard encryption and secure API endpoints to ensure that your data is protected from unauthorized access.

6. Data Retention

We retain wishlist data as long as the app is installed on your store. If you uninstall ZS Wishlist, we will begin the process of deleting your store's data from our servers in accordance with Shopify's app developer policies.
